If you have questions for the venue, please reach out to them. Some couples prefer getting married at one location, be it outdoors somewhere special or a church, and then having a reception at a different location afterward... or even a different day and time completely! With having the opportunity to shoot at so many fantastic spots, I wanted to share one of my favorite (out of many!) wedding & reception locations that can act as both the wedding site and reception venue! (They even have a place for the bride to get ready!)

The kickstart of wedding season 2020 has begun! Lock in those dates early to make sure Acorn & Oak captures your special day!  Congrats to Ashley and Steven... the newest Mr. & Mrs. Biars! It was a beautiful wedding, ya'll!  Over the last several years, I've been blessed to shoot some really beautiful couples and their weddings in equally beautiful places all over the Tri-State area! Here are just 2 of my favorite wedding venues in Kentucky & West Virginia! Each one is unique in its own little ways! The Train Depot - Ashland, KY  A beautiful & historic building located right on the Ohio River on the Ashland Riverfront, this venue is perfect for small and large ceremonies/receptions!
 Ranson Hollows - Ripley, WV  Looking for the perfect private & almost hidden location for your wedding? Ranson Hollows is the place! It's like visiting gramma's house in the hills of West Virginia where the coffee is always on and the company feels like coming home. Owner, Ceason, really goes the extra mile to make your day special!
 Such a special day for a special couple and their baby girl! Beautiful and loving, this wedding was a dream come true! Congrats you three!!  Sander & Brooke had a small but really special ceremony to celebrate their new marriage at Brooke's grandmother's house, and it was perfect! Thank you guys for sharing your special day with me!  "Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man separate." Matthew 19:6 What a way to finish up the 2018 wedding season!! Congrats to the newest Mr. & Mrs. Stephen & Melissa Settle!! I've been looking forward to this day since Josie & Trevor's engagement session at the brewery! And here it is! So laid back, but also elegant - it matches Josie + Trevor perfectly. Congrats to you guys and Grayson! Small & intimate, Pat and Veronica got married overlooking the beautiful fall trees at the Lewis Cave Lodge at Carter Caves in Olive Hill, KY. I've always loved the caves, but this was the first time I'd been inside the lodge... and it's so peaceful out there and homey. I really loved it and am planning a small getaway for my family there in the spring. Congrats you two! A very special ceremony! |
