What an incredible & fun wedding day for these two! It's rare to see such a couple in love! Congrats Don & Monica! Anthony and Aly's dad passed away when they were just little nuggets... and now that brother Anthony is off to boot camp, they wanted some way to capture a complete family photo. Helping their vision come true, we made a more visible memorial photo than I usually do so we could see Dad's uniform.  #memorialportrait #memoryphoto We also got some really great family moments, too! I absolutely LOVE the lake! The colors, especially after a light rain, are so so vibrant and alive... much like the love of these two! Congrats, you guys! 
   This is one of my absolute favorite places to photograph. I've been to this house a few times before meeting Santana & Seth there for their engagement session, but this session was truly the best. It's a lot more worn down since my last trip there, but the old house still has a lot of life left in it if you look in the right places... especially with these two in there lovin' it up! Congrats on the engagement, you two! I can't wait for the big day!

I could never put into words how grateful I am for the amazing families that I work with. And, when clients become friends and return to capture more memories, we grow together… me as your photographer & you as a family. I’ve been there to watch two become one… and then three (or more). I’ve helped brides go to the bathroom. I’ve held the hand of a laboring mother as she worked through a contraction. I’ve played with your little one so they can work off some energy while we’re at a session. I’ve wiped drool, snot and tears. Memories aren’t always picture perfect, but they are always worth capturing. And while taking care of your family and your special moments, it’s allowed me to take better care of my own family, too. As my fellow artists know, we don’t do this to get rich. We do this so our own babies don’t go to bed hungry at night. We do it to make their childhood just a little better than our own, maybe. We do this because we are drawn to hold onto every beautifully messy moment life throws at us.
