… with every session we have.
… with every message you send me & each heart.
… with every time you make your profile and/or cover photo an image we created together.
… with every tear of joy we share.
I could never put into words how grateful I am for the amazing families that I work with. And, when clients become friends and return to capture more memories, we grow together… me as your photographer & you as a family.
I’ve been there to watch two become one… and then three (or more). I’ve helped brides go to the bathroom. I’ve held the hand of a laboring mother as she worked through a contraction. I’ve played with your little one so they can work off some energy while we’re at a session. I’ve wiped drool, snot and tears. Memories aren’t always picture perfect, but they are always worth capturing.
And while taking care of your family and your special moments, it’s allowed me to take better care of my own family, too. As my fellow artists know, we don’t do this to get rich.
We do this so our own babies don’t go to bed hungry at night.
We do it to make their childhood just a little better than our own, maybe.
We do this because we are drawn to hold onto every beautifully messy moment life throws at us.
Thank you for supporting me and my lil’ business…
… and thank you for being my friend. <3
I cannot begin to thank you guys enough! I am blessed beyond measure to have wonderful and amazing folks in my life that love and support me!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! <3
Each year in October the Southern Hills Arts Council puts on an amazing show called The Foothills Art Festival. Nestled in the foothills of Jackson, OH, this art show is one of the best in the area, showcasing talent of artists from Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky.
This year was my 3rd year competing after taking a few years off from competing in anything to focus on building my business. I'm blessed to say I took 1st & 3rd place in Enhanced Photography, as well as an Honorable Mention in Traditional Photography and a piece earning a purchase award, too!
Thank you Southern Hills Arts Council for seeing the beauty in my work again this year! I can't wait for the 37th annual show in October!
I spent some time at Lowe's yesterday getting supplies for a big project/upgrade that's happening in the Acorn & Oak Photography studio! Some of you probably know what's going on... as I've been too excited to keep it under wraps 100%, but here's a sneak peek for those that do not...
More to come so stay tuned!
I work with some of the most awesomest folks... ever! I promise!
Check out this vinyl sticker one of my clients whipped up for me! I can't wait to put it above the shoot room door in the studio! Thanks Jennifer!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the open house on Friday! I really appreciate and love the support from each and every one of you! <3
As a way to officially kick-off the opening of my first studio, I'm throwing a little party! And you're invited!
If you live in the Ironton-Ashland-Huntington area, feel free to stop by the Acorn & Oak Photography studio and grab a cupcake! There will also be a chance to win a free session, too!
June 2nd from 5pm until 7pm!
I can't wait to see you there!
Okay guys... my big announcement...
For a few years I have been working out of my home. You guys have been amazingly patient with me (and my cats!) as we have made beautiful images together in my dining room. But...!!
ACORN & OAK PHOTOGRAPHY OFFICIALLY HAS A STUDIO NOW!
You guys... I'm SO EXCITED for this space to create even more memories with you! It brings a dedicated spot for newborn portraits, more holiday sets, special event sessions, indoor maternity portraits & so many more fun moments to share with you all!
I can't thank you guys enough for supporting me over the last few years and making this dream a possibility! <3 I couldn't have done it without you guys!
Thought I'd share this photo that a wonderful momma-friend that I am blessed to know & have snapped of me during her kiddo's spring session a few days ago. (Thanks Mandy! I love seeing these!)
A wonderful way to kick off Spring 2017! Stay tuned for sneak peeks!
